The inspection and maintenance of critical infrastructures (CRITIS), such as power or telecommunication towers, wind turbines (WT) and photovoltaic arrays (PVA), as well as other structures in the fields of agriculture, logistics and public safety, are very time-consuming and cost intensive. With acquisition and surveying, supported by UAVs (unmanned aerial vehicles, also known as drones), these challenges are met with minimal logistical and human resources.
